The Men’s group has reached its 1 year anniversary.
This is what Volunteer Steve has to say.
Where has a year gone? It has been a year since we started the Leicester Life Links Men’s Peer support group. The group started in November 2019 and while Covid 19 has been a challenge, has it stopped us? No! Even though we have been unable to meet face to face since April, we have continued to keep the group going via zoom and it has gone from strength to strength.
We celebrated this milestone with the group, some of the members have been with us since the early days and are continuing to join us. We have also welcomed new members to the group. We celebrated the success with an anniversary theme on the 26th November 2020 and in the last year we have held 47 weekly meetings. We asked the members of the group for some comments which summarised the impact the group has had; “Not Judged just allowed to be me”, “Grateful”, ” Companionship”, ” Learning from one another”, “One said “Comradeship”, ” Made me bond with other people”.
A big thank you to all who are or have been part of Men’s Peer Group, both past and present. The Group belongs to all who attend, we are humbled to have the privilege to facilitate and deliver to all who are “Leicester Life Links Men’s Peer Group”
Bring on another Year!
