Life Links and Time to Change were delighted to be invited to the Memon Eid Festival on Sunday 30 June. We had a high number of people attend the event, with families, parents, grandparents all enjoying the day.
Our stand was busy throughout the day, and we were really pleased to see a lot more men seeking advice and help; this is truly a step forward to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and getting people the support they need when they need it.
Festival organiser Naseem thanked Life Links for attending, and stressed the importance of having the space for people to come and talk about their mental health. Steve, one of our volunteers, said:
“It was a joy and humbling to share the festivities – we even watched some cricket!”
It was a successful day all round for Leicester Life Links and Time To Change.
